When I first met Louise Bond and was introduced to her label Bikini Atoll – www.bikiniatollswimwear.com I was struck by the amazing use of colour in the fabrics that she was using for her swimwear and knew that this was a label to watch!

And now with her sophomore collection entitled “Revolution” she has once again pushed the boundaries with an amazing range and branched out to include men’s swimwear.  Her men’s range lends itself to the European style and cut that can be missing from swimwear designers in Australia who design for men and get lost in the notion that for men’s swimwear to be popular it needs to consist of boardshorts and not much else. I think that any man who wants to look sexy in their swimwear and is comfortable in their own skin then Bikini Atoll swimwear is the right choice for you!

What I love about this range is the innovative laser cutting techniques with neoprene that she has incorporated into her women’s range that features strong structural panels with cut-out detailing in harmonious feminine shapes.  With a colour palette that has shifted from the bold prints of her first range but still includes geometric prints in summer shades of citron, turquoise, rouge and lavender there is also a softer palette of pastels that really allow the decorative detailing to shine through but has also included some high impact metallic in bright gold and magnetic silver that complement the range.

I have always preferred to wear swimwear that leans to the more European aesthetic and Louise has really captured that in her designs for men with this range.  They are made impeccably and feel amazing both in and out of the water.  The fabrics feel wonderful and really make a statement when your on the beach or lazing around the pool.

This is one swimwear label from Western Australia that deserves success and an international place in the market!
