I was thinking this morning about how long it has been since I have had the time to sit down and write a post and to share with you some of the pathways that this journey that is my life has taken over the past four weeks.
When you host your own site as a hobby it sometimes falls to the bottom of the list when work and other commitments get full on. That is not to say I have tried to find time to sit and put a post or two together because I have…it is just that every time I have something else has gotten in the way.
If you have followed me and read my posts you will know that this is the time of the year when my work life ramps up to overdrive as the major fundraising event that I manage, STYLEAID fast approaches…with ticket sales, seating, model casting, committee meetings, prizes, auctions and all of the other associated work that comes with putting on such a large event.
But today I found some time to just put a few musings about the past few weeks down before I get called to other things again.
I have had time to dine out a few times and two nights in particular stand out for me. My father-in-law had his 90th birthday and we organised a private dining room at Blu Grill and we had a fantastic night of great food, service and wine as we have come to expect from Ryan and the team at Blu Grill. They really know how to look after their guests and even though the menu is not extensive I challenge you not to find something that you would really love…we are probably going to head back there again this week at what has become our favourite local place for dinner.
You can check out my reviews for Blu Grill if you scroll down past a few of my other entries…you will not be disappointed.
The other amazing experience that we had for dinner was to head into East Perth, with Trevor’s sister who was here from Sydney to take her out for her birthday. We chose the Co-Op on Regal Place for dinner and it was really a stunning menu. I will do a full review of Co-op in the coming weeks, when I get some time to really reflect and share the experience with you but needless to say we were all really impressed.
Co-Op comes from an ethos of organic, sustainable, local produce for the dishes and serves either a 5 or a 10 course degustation menu that can come with matched wines or not. If you want a really gorgeous night out with some really exceptional food this is another amazing dinning option here in Perth.
Some of the tempting treats from Co-Op…
The phone has started ringing so time to head back to answering calls, doing follow ups and getting ready for work.
More to follow in the coming days!
Oh and don’t forget if you are in Perth and are wanting a great night out that supports the work of the WA AIDS Council and you love fashion then head to the STYLEAID website and book some tickets…there are still some left in what promises to be the most amazing night based all around the 60’s GOGO theme for this year…www.styleaid.com.au
