As you would know if you follow my posts I love to stay in a great hotel and enjoy all the facilities.  Whether it is locally or overseas the creature comforts and that little bit of opulence is just what I love.

And so it was that Trevor and I headed to indulge in a 2 night stay at the very recently opened Crown Towers.  I had been fortunate to have had a tour of the new ballroom, bars, swimming pool and restaurant a couple of weeks ago and this is what made we want to book in for a couple of nights and indulge in what they had to offer.

Crown Towers has bought a whole new level of sophistication and luxury to the Perth hotel market and it will take a lot to unseat it as the best hotel in Perth for quite some time I would think.

From the moment that we arrived and our car was whisked away downstairs by the valet parking team we new we had arrived at a very different type of hotel for Perth.  The lobby is just a delight with clean lines, some stunning artwork and really delightful color palette that all add to the feeling of understated luxury.  The staff were courteous, professional and a treat to deal with and we were checked in with the minimum of fuss and headed up to our room to have a look at where we would be resting our heads for the next two nights.

We arrived at the 18th floor and made our way to our room and when we opened the door were stunned and delighted by the spectacular view across the river to Perth, Kings Park and South Perth – all laid out for us to feast our eyes on.  With the bed pointed towards the window it was the most amazing experience to just lay back and take in the view.

To say that the rooms are indulgent and luxurious is understating the sheer beauty of them.  They are well appointed, crafted and designed perfectly.  The room is a great size and there is a gorgeous love seat that allows you to sit back and also take in the views whilst reading a book or just chilling out.  The bathroom is yet another area that has been carefully considered and designed with pale muted tones that give a real sense of tranquility, whilst also feeling luxe.  With the double sink, the spacious bathtub, the plush soft towels and the TV in the wall that you can watch when you are soaking in the tub there really was nothing to fault here.

After unpacking and seeing the sun shinning we decided to head down to enjoy a late lunch and a swim by the pools – yes pools – all in all there are 8 of them to enjoy!  We made our way down and took in the well appointed, tropical feel that was on display all around us.  It was a real oasis and the sun beds allowed for sun or shade and the gorgeous in water sunbeds allow for some cooling off when it is really hot whilst still being able to sun and relax.

There are lots of staff at your beck and call around the pool and made ordering food and cocktails a real breeze.  We read our books, enjoyed the sun and swam in a couple of the different pools on offer.  All in all it was like being in a tropical paradise.

After a brief respite back in our room we headed to Epicurean for our dinner and a chance to partake in a new level of buffet dining for Perth.  I was immediately reminded of the stunning Mulia Bali buffet (you can see my reviews of it earlier on this site!) and we were not disappointed.

From the freshly shucked oysters, the amazing local octopus and chorizo salad to the inspirational Indian, Japanese and Chinese dishes that were all freshly created and offered something for everyone.  This was an indulgence that is unlike any other of its kind in Perth and I cannot recommend it highly enough!  The staff were fresh, professional, attentive without being over the top and looked after us well all evening.

One of the things that Epicurean is going to become know for is the amazing desserts.  We have always loved the Atrium desserts but Epicurean takes this to a whole new level as well. With freshly made ice creams, macaroons to die for, petite cakes that were simply mouth watering and a signature chocolate fountain that offered three different chocolate flavors to indulge in.

That was not all either, there was the fresh Yorkshire pudding, the exquisite pork belly, the incredibly Peking Duck and the stunning scallop stir fry.  This is a must do if you are looking for an amazing dinning experience that will surely have something to please every member of your family.

I cold wax lyrical about Crown Towers for ages and also about all of the other options that you can still embrace from RockPool, to Nobu and of course Bistro Guillamme but I will let you head into Crown and indulge in some of the best accommodation on offer in Perth that really does take a Perth Hotel stay to a whole new level!

Next time I think we will try the Crown Club just so we get to try another level of a stay at Crown Towers because when we want a night or two to indulge this is where we are going to head!
